SO, WHAT IS THE RALLYE?
The Rallye sur la Côte is an activity to promote a healthy way of living for the workplace. It aims to integrate a physically active lifestyle into our daily lives to consume more vegetables and fruits, to choose water as a beverage and to adopt healthy lifestyle habits (sleep, dental health, screen time, etc.).
The Rallye challenges all employees to virtually travel the North Shore, in teams of four, over a period of six weeks. To do this, consumption of fruits and vegetables and the practice of physical activities are recorded and converted into kilometres.
The Rallye sur la Côte is an initiative of the Direction de santé publique du Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Côte-Nord. It started out as an original idea from a gathering of North Shore dieticians and nutritionists, which became a reality in 2009, with the collaboration of Kino Québec and the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de la Côte-Nord.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
The Rallye sur la Côte-Nord is a fun activity to do in the workplace. It is an excellent opportunity to encourage employees to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle habits.
Did you know that North Shore residents do not consume enough fruits and vegetables, 45% eat less than five portions per day?
